Tipp Mid West Radio(TMWR) will be broadcasting a number of the Easter Religious Ceremonies over the next few days.
This evening, Holy Thursday, at 7pm, Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be broadcast as will tomorrow afternoon’s Celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 3pm. On Saturday night, Tipp Mid West Radio will broadcast the Easter Vigil Mass commencing at 8pm. On Easter Sunday, TMWR, will broadcast Easter Sunday Mass at the usual Sunday mass time of 11.30am.
A number of other community groups are also marking Easter. St John’s Famine Graveyard Committee, Tipperary town, will host the Stations of the Cross tomorrow at 11am. Attendees are welcome to bring a chair if they wish to sit during the service.
A Dawn Prayer Service will be hosted on the Tipperary Hills, Tipperary town – those attending are asked to meet in the carpark of the Tipperary Hills Pitch and Putt Club at 5.20am on Sunday. The event is a walk around the Hills with prayers and reflections based on the Easter Gospel and is organised by the Tipperary Liturgy Group in conjunction with the Tipperary Pastoral Group. Singing and instrumental music will also feature in the event which will conclude with refreshments in the Pitch and Putt Clubhouse.
Doon Cemetery will host a Dawn Mass on Easter Sunday at 6.15am. Dominic’s Abbey in Cashel will host a dawn Mass at 5.30am on Sunday to mark the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
