The TUS Campus (Nenagh Road) in Thurles is hosting a major free public information event tomorrow(April 16th) in respect of Climate Action and Local Carbon Community service providers. The event is being led by Tipperary County Council and is an opportunity for communities and businesses in the area to learn how they can participate in positive climate action. The event focuses on the Mid-Tipperary Decarbonising Zone area and the wider area.
The event has multiple elements between 1pm and 5pm including a visit by the Food Cloud Van to demonstrate how food waste can be reduced, 23 information stands will provide advice on issues such as home upgrades, land use, water quality, heritage, energy use, education opportunities, transport and there will be 6 short presentations between 2.30pm and 3.30pm from the National BioEconomy Foundation, the Local Enterprise Office, the Biomethane Research office, Tipperary Public Participation Network, the two Tipperary Development Companies and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland.Children are also welcome to take part in Climate action Training at the event provided by the Rediscovery Centre from Dublin.
