The Tipperary GAA board Fundraising raffle held on Saturday Night was won by Ardfinnan man Stephen Dalton.
Mr Dalton’s prize is a new 4 bed home in Cashel at Bregawn or he can take a cash prize of €300,000. There were 4 smaller prizes – Aisling O’Keeffe in Mooncoin won 2nd prize – a €4,000 holiday, Catherine Ryan in Dundalk won a week in Lanzarote, Mary Winston, Roscommon won a trip to a Premier League match next season featuring Liverpool and Manchester United and Sarah Sugrue in Borrisoleigh won a European City Break.
Over 10,000 tickets were sold for the draw which is intended to raise funds to develop player facilities in Thurles. The draw was held at the Horse and Jockey Hotel on Saturday night with Fr Vincent Stapleton drawing the winning tickets. The County Board are also launching a new 50/50 fundraiser which will see a weekly draw with a guaranteed winner of at least €3,000 – this first draw will be held on April 25th.
