Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the N76(Clonmel to Kilkenny) at Kilcash Cross, county Tipperary on Friday 11th April 2025.
Gardaí are particularly looking to speak with two motorists who may have passed a ride on lawnmower on the N76, moments before this incident occurred. These two vehicles were travelling on the N76 in the direction of Kilkenny and coming from Clonmel.
The victim of the fatal road traffic collision has been named locally as Kieran McArdle. Mr McArdle, aged in his 30s, was on a ride-on lawnmower at Kilcash Cross when he was involved in a collision with a car at around 9.45pm. It is understood that the man had borrowed the lawn mower to cut the grass at a public area around two kilometres from his home in Ballypatrick. No other injuries are reported. It is understood that the car involved in the collision was being driven by a man from the area aged in his 20s.
Any other road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area on the N76 between 9.30pm and 10.30pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
