Tipperary Education and Training Board is to hold an Open Day today in Tipperary Town. The public and particularly prospective students are invited to visit the Centre on St Michael Street in the Community Services Centre and also the Construction Skills Centre on the Bansha Road. Tutors, current students and staff from the Applications and Admission service of Tipperary ETB will be on hand to give course details, career prospects and information about the application process. Both centres offer full and part time courses including courses in Special Needs Assistant, Healthcare Support, Pre General Nursing, Applied Social Studies, Strength/Conditioning/Performance Analysis, Sports & Pre PE teaching, Business StudiesThere are also Literacy and Computer Skills for Beginners classes availableThe construction centre offers courses in Retrofit Insulation skills, Dry Lining and Plastering, and a Pre Apprenticeship Construction skills with a module on Near Zero Energy Building Principles. The Tipperary Town Further Education and Training Open day will run from 10am to 1pm and no appointment is necessary.
