Make-A-Wish Ireland Volunteers Fundraising Across The County Today And Tomorrow

246

Volunteers working with the Make-A-Wish Ireland organisation are fundraising across the county today and tomorrow.

Make-A-Wish Ireland is a registered charity dedicated to granting wishes to children between the ages of 3 and 17 battling life-threatening medical conditions. Each wish is designed to provide hope, strength, and joy for the children and their families. Sometimes the wish is to meet a personality, to travel to a specific place or to undertake a particular activity.

650 children are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness annually in Ireland  but only 33% apply for a wish. either because families don’t know about the charity, or they feel others are “more deserving”. The online insurance company its4Women  is a partner this year helping with sponsorship

Bucket collections will take place in Dunnes Stores, Tipperary Town, Thurles, Clonmel and Roscrea today  Friday 4th April, with on-street collections in Cahir and Cashel on Saturday, 5th April. The Tipperary Raceway in Rosegreen will  accept donations on Sunday.  Donations can also be  made online at www.makeawish.ie or via Revolut today.
