The Tipperary Minor Hurling team lost their first match in the 2025 Munster Round Robin Series in Thurles  on Friday night before an attendance of 2,520.

The team has only two of last year’s All Ireland winners but gave a spirited performance to lose by two points to Waterford on a scoreline of Waterford 1 – 16 to Tipperary 17 points. Tipperary were ahead by 5 points late in the second half but Waterford rallied for the win.

Tipperary will have a quick turnaround as they will take on Clare in Ennis at 2pm on Saturday April 5th with games against Limerick and Cork to follow. Four Minor teams from Munster will progress to the All-Ireland series – the top two in the Round Robin series will qualify for the Munster Final.
