The Circle of Friends Cancer Support Centre, Tipperary town, is to hold a special event tomorrow morning to mark Daffodil Day.
Members of the Excel Centre’s Writing Groups will present a selection of their works with short musical interludes starting at 11am. The Writers Group are also encouraging more people to join the group which meets every second Friday between 11am and 1pm in the Excel Centre on Mitchell street, Tipperary Town. There are no fees to take part in the Writers Group.
The Creative Writing Group offers a friendly space for people interested in writing to develop a piece that could be poetry or prose. Tipperary ETB provides a facilitator to run the class which runs from September to May each year. Anyone interested in joining the group is asked to contact the Excel Centre at 062 80520.
The Coffee Morning event is inviting the public to attend the Circle of Friends Cancer Support Centre in Knockanrawley (E34 RF34) and all donations will be used by the Circle of Friends Centre to fund it’s services for those affected by cancer including family members of the person diagnosed with cancer.
The theme for the writing segments is “A Moment in Time” and the writings are a mix of reminiscences, contemplations and tongue in cheek observations. The event is expected to conclude by 1pm approximately.
