Traffic Management on N24/Main Street approaching the N74/N24 Junction

Drivers in Tipperary town are experiencing some delays today as temporary traffic management has returned to the East side of town as part of a major road work project.

Traffic lights are now controlling the junction of the Bansha Road/Main Street(N24) and the Cashel Road (N74). The traffic lights are in place at Danny Ryan’s music at Bank Place and on the Bansha Road as construction staff work on installing new footpaths on the western arm of the junction.

Traffic Lights are also in place on the town limits at Crogue Hill near St Michael’s Graveyard as construction staff work on the Graveyard side of the roadway. Fr Matthew street to the town limits on the Cashel side of town remains a one-way system for outbound traffic.

The overall project covers a distance of 1100 meters and has seen all incoming traffic on the N74(Cashel Road) diverted via Knockanrawley. The overall project costing €6 is expected to be completed by late May.
