Uisce Eireann is advising of disruption to water supplies in Golden and Cashel today. Repairs to a burst water main are due to have been completed overnight and supply should be returning to normal this morning in the Golden area. A second burst mains at Sergeant’s Lot is to be repaired this afternoon between 1.15pm and 5pm. This outage will affect Mantle hill, Golden and surrounding areas.
In Cashel works are planned for today as part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme. The repairs to a mains pipe are scheduled to take place from 10am until 4pm today March 14th. Uisce Eireann says it may take a few hours after repairs are completed for supply to return to normal.
The company now offers customers a free text alert service for outages both planned and unplanned that last more than four hours. Customers can sign up for the service by entering their Eircode and mobile phone number on the water.ie website.
