EirGrid, the operator and developer of the national electricity grid, is to bring its Energy Citizens Roadshow to Cashel’s Halla Na Féile tomorrow evening.
This free event will bring together experts from EirGrid, SEAI (Ireland’s national sustainable energy authority), ESB Networks and Tipperary County Council to provide information about home energy efficiency upgrades, retrofitting grants, community micro-generation schemes and initiatives to ensure a more sustainable future for Tipperary.
Visitors to the event can visit a range of information stands from 6.15pm. The four main organisations EirGrid, SEAI, ESB Networks and Tipperary county council’s Climate Action Officer (Clare Lee) will take part in a panel discussion from 7pm which concludes with a question and answer session.
The exhibitors will showcase the latest information about home renewable energy upgrades, heat pumps and solar energy for homes and agriculture. Representatives from companies involved in Energy and finance will be available to meet member of the public including Ecovision Tipperary, Cashel Credit Union, JFW Renewables, Encon Tipperary, Tipperary PPN, Home and Agri energy and the National Biomethane Development Office.
