A Tipperary postman remains in hospital after sustaining injuries when attacked by dogs last Thursday(February 27th). The incident is understood to have occurred near Kilcommon at approximately 1.40pm and involved two dogs. It is understood that while the injuries are serious, they are not life threatening.
The postman, aged in his 60s was taken to University Hospital Limerick for medical care for his injuries.
Gardaí have engaged with the owner of the dogs and arrangements are being made with local veterinary services for their destruction.
An Post confirms the incident but declines to comment until the incident is fully investigated by Gardai and the Council’s Dog Warden.
