Cllr Declan Burgess, a member of the Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District(MD) Council, is seeking a review of the Parking Byelaws in Cashel.
The councillor submitted a motion calling for a review to yesterday’s MD Council meeting and highlighted that the Parking Byelaws in the town were to be reviewed in 2023.
The parking Byelaws govern all aspects of parking such as locations, length of stay allowed and the fee that is charged and also the provision of spaces for Disabled or Elderly Drivers. The Council Executive asked Councillor Burgess to resubmit the motion for the February meeting and committed to doing the work this year. The Executive says as an election was held since the motion was previously passed it needs to be resubmitted.
Draft Parking Byelaws in the Thurles MD for the towns of Thurles, Templemore and Roscrea are currently out for public consultation and submissions can be made until March 25th with the revised Bye laws to come into effect on May 1st.
