EirGrid, the operator and developer of the national electricity grid, is set to bring its Energy Citizens Roadshow to Cashel next month.

Led by EirGrid, this free event will bring together experts from SEAI (Ireland’s national sustainable energy authority), ESB Networks and Tipperary County Council to provide information about home energy efficiency upgrades, retrofitting grants, community micro-generation schemes and initiatives to ensure a more sustainable future for Tipperary. The roadshow will take place at Halla Na Féile in Cashel with refreshments from 6.15pm and a panel discussion from 7 to 8.30pm on Wednesday, March 5th

A host of local exhibitors will also be in attendance, showcasing the latest information about home renewable energy upgrades, heat pumps and solar energy.  Sinead Dooley, Head of Public Engagement with EirGrid says “The events are a chance for members of the public and businesses to learn how they can play an integral role in the future of the grid, while finding out more about all of the financial support available.”

People can register for places by visiting the Roadshows section of the eirgrid.ie website.
