People waiting on health care treatment are encouraged to avail of the service provided by the Sightsaver Bus initiative organised by Independent councillor John O’Heney.
The service has been holding regular consultation clinics in West Tipperary for the past two years and is now expanding to hold a clinic in Clonmel at the Talbot Hotel.
The service provides details about the programme where patients pay for the treatment in a Belfast Hospital and then make a claim for reimbursement from the HSE under the Northern Ireland Planned Healthcare Scheme. A range of medical procedures are offered via the scheme which is intended to help address the long waiting lists for care in the Republic. The information clinic will be held on Thursday Feb 13th between 10am and 5pm and staff from the Kingsbridge staff will be on hand to meet with prospective patients to arrange a full consultation.
