The St Patrick’s Day committees in Cashel and Tipperary town are holding meetings this week.
Tipperary town is planning to hold it’s parade on Monday March 17th and will hold a meeting on Wednesday night in Roche’s pub on O’Brien street at 7.30pm. The parade theme is “Bee the change” as it encourages support for nature and the elimination of litter with community groups and schools invited to take part. Enquiries via email to [email protected].
Cashel Parade is to be held on Sunday March 16th at 12.30pm and the organising committee is also calling for the community to get involved in organising and participating in the parade. The theme is “Renewal and Revival”. The Cashel St Patrick’s Day committee will meet on Thursday at 8pm in Brosnan’s Bar – the group are also hoping to set a new Guinness World record immediately after the parade by having the largest gathering of people wearing flat caps in one location with the town centre Plaza being the venue for the record attempt.
