A number of different events are taking place today and tomorrow around Tipperary town to support fundraising for a family in Golden as husband and father Oliver Browne continues to face serious health challenges.
Ollie has been receiving care and treatment for over three years and is now awaiting surgery in Beaumont Hospital – his wife Carmel is now a full time carer to Ollie and their two young sons. Today and tomorrow donations will be accepted at a bag pack in Dunnes Stores in Tipperary Town Shopping Centre.
Raffle tickets will be on sale at SuperValu in Tipperary on Friday afternoon until 3pm and at the Canon Hayes Recreation Centre (CHRC) between approximately 2.30 and 3.30pm at the end of a Soccer tournament also in aid of Ollie. The prizes include a signed Tipperary Jersey and numerous vouchers and hampers – the draw will be held in the CHRC after the soccer tournament at approximately 3.30pm.
Ollie is a big soccer fan and Marcus Godfrey is hosting the soccer tournament at the Canon Hayes Recreation Centre from noon to approximately 3pm on Saturday February 1st with all donations going to the family. A GoFundMe page is also accepting donations titled “Go fund me for Oliver Browne” available at this link here.
