A major fundraising concert is to be held in Knockavilla Community Centre on March 6th for a local woman dealing with two serious health issues.
Fiona Dunne is a mother of two young children and worked in St Joseph’s Junior Boys School in Tipperary town. Some of Ms Dunne’s health care is being provided in Southampton and some in Dublin – the local community are rallying to help.
Friends of Fiona from Station Road Dundrum, Margaret and Yvonne are organising a raffle in the run up to the Variety concert in March and will accept any prize donations.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale in Cronin’s Centra and Heffernan’s shop in Dundrum on Saturday and online next week
The Concert on Thursday March 6th in Knockavilla Community Centre will begin at 8pm – doors open at 7pm.
The performers include Lorcan Kennedy, Maura Shelly, Paudie Coen/Tomás McLaughlin with others known as “Seisiún Mór”, Dee Morrissey, Aoife Butler, Lucy Burgess School of Dancing, Anthony O’Connor, Emer Louth, Michelle Slattery and two groups that previously won rave reviews for their Lip Sync performance – Derek, Ger, Thomas, Gareth and Seamus from Knockavilla and a group from Cahir led by John Kennedy.
Phil Ryan will be the MC on the night.
