Tipperary county council is giving advance notice of significant road closures in Clonmel on Monday March 17th to facilitate the St Patrick’s Day parade. Certain Roads will be closed from 8am to 8pm with local diversions in place. Cashel and Carrick on Suir are both planning to hold their parades on Sunday March 16th.
Tipperary town is to hold it’s parade on Monday March 17th with the time to be finalised at a meeting next week. The committee led by Councillor John O’Heney is inviting the public to attend the meeting on Wednesday February 5th at 7.30pm in Roche’s pub on O’Brien Street.
Anyone interested in taking part in the parade in Tipperary town is asked to email [email protected]. The theme is “Bee the Change” in association with the local Tidy Towns Group in support of more biodiversity and less litter.
Littleton Parade is set to begin at 10.30am, Cahir’s parade will start at noon with the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Thurles to begin at 2.30pm – all three are to take place on Monday March 17th.
