Drivers in the Tipperary town area are advised that temporary diversions remain in place as works at the Junction of the Cashel Road and the R661 Dundrum road are not completed as scheduled.
The Contractor, Glas Civil Engineering, expects to have the junction roadway resurfaced and line markings in place to allow the road to reopen tomorrow January 28th (Tuesday afternoon).
The project is part of the larger N74/Fr Matthew Street project that is ongoing until later this year. Tipperary County Council granted the contractor an emergency extension to the road closure in place already due to the disruption caused by the storm last Friday. Details of the project can be found on the dedicated website www.n74tipperarytown.ie .
