Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel is to restore normal visiting times from today.
Restrictions had been put in place due to the high levels of respiratory illnesses in circulation and the high volume of patients attending. There were 14 admitted patients on trolleys at the hospital yesterday according to data compiled by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
Hospital management says normal visiting times are now restored but add that mask wearing is essential when visiting in the hospital to protect both patients and staff.
The public are asked not to visit if they themselves are feeling unwell.
