Tipperary County Councils Croi Conaithe Fund Pays Out €3.1M In 2024

59 grants totalling €3.1M were paid out last year by Tipperary County Council under the Croi Conaithe Fund.
The scheme provides funds for the refurbishment of vacant properties that can be used as principal residence or a rental property. The scheme offers a grant of up to €50,000 to renovate a vacant property and up to €70,000, if the property is derelict there is an additional grant for expert conservation advice if the applicant is refurbishing a vacant traditional farmhouse. Under a Separate Scheme the homeowner may also qualify for upwards of €30,000 under a Sustainable Energy Authority Grant Scheme.

Tipperary County Council received a total of 540 applications and have approved 411 to date. 33 were rejected, 35 were withdrawn and 61 are at further information stage according to the Council’s January Management Report. The scheme is intended to help address vacancy and dereliction and also to help boost the housing supply and home ownership.
