The Fire Service is alerting consumers to a safety issue with Morco Open-Flued Gas Water Heaters which may be installed in mobile homes and caravans and domestic settings.
Tipperary fire service is sharing advice from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission(CCPC).
Consumers are urged not to use these gas water heaters and contact the manufacturer Morco immediately.
The product has a risk of fire, explosion, and injuries. There is a risk of gas leaking which, if ignited may cause burns, explosions, and injuries.
The brand is Morco. The 4 models are Primo 6(MP6), Primo 11(MP11), EUP6 and EUP11.
The models affected were sold between 2018 and 2023, and there are approximately 1,000 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
