The Tipperary Museum of Hidden History is to host a day long look at Modern Ireland at an event in the TUS Campus in Thurles on Saturday next, January 18th.
Pat Leahy Political editor of the Irish Times will host the afternoon Panel Debate. The speakers on the day are historian Diarmaid Ferriter, the current Press Ombudsman and author Susan McKay and Dr Martin Mansergh, member of the Council of State and a former TD and Government Minister representing Tipperary.
The event is titled “A Quiet Revolution – The making of Modern Ireland” as it looks at Ireland between 1960 and 2000.
