There was success for Tipperary students at the BTYSTE in Dublin on Friday night.
Victoriia Sanzhapova, a Transition Year student attending St Anne’s secondary school in Tipperary has won the BT Overall Communication Award 2025 for her work on her project based on the computer game 2048.
Luke Blackwell from Thurles CBS won 2 awards including one of the top four awards in the competition in finishing ‘Runner up in the best Individual’ category.
He also won the ABP Farm Sustainability award. Luke’s project investigated the potential for regenerative agriculture through the use of the Comfrey plant as a sustainable soil enhancer.’
Liam Carew and Shane O’Connor, former students at the Abbey school in Tipperary town, the 2023 overall winners, were on hand during the BTYSTE to support and congratulate the Tipperary students.
A total of 25 projects from Tipperary
