The major road works on the N74/Cashel road in Tipperary town are being deferred until Monday January 13th.
Work was to resume yesterday after the Christmas Break.
Glas Civil engineering says a small team is on site today and work will focus on clearing snow on the footpaths along Fr Matthew Street before the expected freeze.
This is intended to allow residents as safe an access as can be provided in the conditions.
A letter will be issued to local residents about the road works once approval has been issued by Tipperary County Council.
