Met Éireann today issued a Status Yellow Low Temperature and Ice warning for all of Ireland including county Tipperary.
Very cold conditions with widespread frost and ice are forecast as temperatures fall to -3 degrees or below in many areas. This could cause hazardous travelling conditions and animal welfare issues. The warning is valid from 6pm this evening until 11am tomorrow morning.
Met Eireann is also issuing a weather advisory for a 24 hour period beginning at midnight on Saturday as sleet and snow in places is expected. Rain, sleet and snow will continue for a time on Sunday before clearing eastwards into the Irish Sea.
Met Eireann says significant accumulations of snow are likely in some counties that could disrupt travel services.
