The Chamber of Commerce in Cashel says a Christmas tree will be installed by council staff on the Plaza today.
The Plaza is being gradually returned to public use after some construction and refurbishment works.
The trees have been pruned and a new landscape area has been added close to Main street.
In addition, all of the paving stones are being removed, cleaned and re-laid – this work is 60% completed.
A low granite barrier has been installed alongside the Main street side of the Plaza to provide seating and to form a barrier to improve pedestrian safety.
The project also includes the installation of two canopies in the centre of the Plaza but these are not now expected to be installed before the New Year.
The work is being funded via monies awarded under the Outdoor Recreation and Infrastructure Scheme(ORIS) and is part of a larger project that will see €500,000 invested in Cashel as part of a Fáilte Ireland project to make Cashel a destination town.
