Christmas Music is to the fore in Tipperary town in the coming weeks
St Mary’s Church on John Street Tipperary, will hold i’s Christmas Carol service on Sunday December 15th at 3pm and Rev Mike O’Meara says all are welcome.
The Carol Service will include performances by the St Ailbes School Choir, the CJ Kickham Band and singer Anthony O’Connor. Rev O’Meara maintains an emergency stock of food and vouchers and says any person wishing to make a donation of cash or a non-perishable item on Sunday is most welcome to do so.
In addition, students from Primary and Second level schools in Tipperary town will be performing Carols around the town next week. This festive event is organised by the Tipperary Town Marketing Group (Ann Whelan, Anne Hadnett, Sharon O’Dwyer and Siobhan Hyland Ryan) and sponsored by Danny Ryan Music Shop.
The students will be located at the Charles Kickham Monument close to Main Street Performance times are as follows –

11.30am – 12.30pm Gaelscoil Tiobraid Arann
1.30pm – 2.30pm The Monastery National School

11.30am – 12.30pm St Michael’s Girls National School
Wednesday December 18th
11.00am – 12 noon The Abbey School
Thursday December 19th
12 noon – 1.00pm St Ailbes School
St Michael’s Church will hold its Carol Service on Sunday December 22nd at 5pm. Parish Priest Eugene Everard is inviting all members of the community to attend the event which will feature the Parish Choir, The CJ Kickham Band, The Michael John Ryan String Ensemble and students from St Ailbe’s, St Anne’s and the Abbey School.
