Members of the local community in Tipperary town and hinterland are invited to attend a special Mass for deceased members of the Tipperary Fire Service on Saturday December 14th.
The Mass will be celebrated at 10.15am in St Michael’s Church Tipperary town. The event is being organised by Retired members of Tipperary Fire service who hope that relatives and friends of those being remembered will attend on Saturday morning.
A total of 25 former firefighters, station officers, sub officers and drivers and mechanics will be remembered in the Mass.
Those being remembered are – Bernard O’Brien, Tommy Flynn, Johnny Corbett, John Joe Ryan, Mick Fitzgerald, Micky McNamara, Maurice Gallagher, Gilbert Kavanagh, Martin O’Brien, Dennis Connors, John Kinahan, Billy O’Brien, John Fitzgerald, Matt O’Doherty, Peter O’Brien, William Butler, Francie Crowe, John Fitzgerald, Jack Morrissey, Joe Sutton, Michael Glasheen, Jim Duffy, Terry Leahy, Paddy Maher and Jim Kearns.
