A special Christmas Reflection event will be held in Tipperary town this morning. The event is organised by the Tipperary Peace Convention and the Martin Quinn, Honorary Secretary says all are welcome to attend the event which begins at 11am and will take place in the Excel Centre on Mitchel Street.
The event will consist of music, poetry and reflections. Donal O’Gorman the Communication and Advocacy manager with Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors without Borders will contribute as will Dr Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid, the Palestinian Ambassador to Ireland, Mohamed Sarwat Selim the Ambassador of Egypt and Dr Martin Mansergh former Minster for State and TD for Tipperary are also expected to make contributions. The St Ailbe’s School Choir and The Rockwell Music Academy will both perform at the event which is intended to show that no matter our differences the spirt of Christmas connects all of humanity through the universal themes of love and hope.
