ESB Networks Crews Continue To Restore Power Supplies To Customers Following Storm Darragh

Crews from ESB Networks are continuing to restore power supplies to customers throughout Ireland following Storm Darragh.  The last to be restored will be situations where the power lines (low voltage) between a home or business and the network have been damaged.

Several outages remain in Tipperary, most will be repaired today however 56 customers in Toomevara will not see power restored until noon tomorrow,  10 customers in Ardgeeha near Fethard are expected to be restored by 9pm tomorrow   and 15 customers in Roscrea are expected to have power restored by 8pm on Wednesday night.

As of now ESB Networks expects to restore power to 74 customers in Carrick-on-Suir by 6pm today,  18 customers in Kilmallock by  7pm,  13 customers in Templemore by  7pm, 21 customers in Cashel by 7pm, 25 customers in Glengoole by 7pm, 17 customers in Cappamore by 8pm and 41 customers in Ardfinnan by 9pm this evening.

Most of the damage was to wires and ESB poles caused by wind and falling trees.

Sean Kelly, the local area manager for ESB Networks, says if any landowner wants to remove existing trees that may be close to power lines they should contact  the ESB at  1 800 372 372 and the relevant local area office will contact the land owner to discuss the need to remove trees as a preventative measure.
