Met Eireann Warns Of Strong Winds & Heavy Rain As Storm Darragh Approaches

Met Eireann is warning of strong winds and heavy rain over the next few days as Storm Darragh reaches Ireland. All of Ireland including county Tipperary is under a Status Yellow wind warning from 3pm on Friday until 3pm on Saturday.

Since noon today Kerry is under a status yellow wind warning until 6pm today.

As of 1pm the Status Yellow Wind warning applies to Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal until 9pm tonight. Met Eireann is warning of strong and very gusty west to northwest winds that could cause falling branches, and difficult travelling conditions.

Eleven coastal counties on the west and east coast are subject to a Status Orange wind warning through Friday night into Saturday.Met Éireann is forecasting very strong and gusty northwest winds that could cause fallen trees, damage to power lines, very difficult travelling conditions and damage to temporary structures.
