Drivers in Tipperary town are advised that Road Engineers will be working on repairs to the traffic lights on Main Street at the junction of Bridge and Davis Streets tomorrow Tuesday December 3rd between 8am and 5pm.
A Stop and Go traffic management system will be in place while the contractors are on site.
The main street is part of the N24 which reports an average of 7,098 vehicles daily including 476 Heavy Goods Vehicles(HGV).
One of the traffic light poles was demolished by a vehicle strike on Friday November 22nd and temporary repairs were completed at the time.
The work tomorrow is the latest in a series of maintenance and upgrade works to the lights which are controlled by sensors in the road surface.
Road resurfacing has at times disconnected the sensors which have had to be reconnected and there have also been faults where the lights were without power.
Limerick based company Traffic Solutions are now the appointed contractor for the traffic lights.
Drivers are asked to drive with caution in the area and to expect short delays.
