Tipperary PPN Encourages Groups To Send Representative To Autumn Plenary Meeting

The Tipperary Public Participation Network(PPN) is encouraging groups around the county to send a representative to the Autumn Plenary Meeting being held in Cashel this evening.

The event is being held in the Halla Na Feile and will commence at 6.30pm.  A number of information stands will be available before the first presentation at 6.50pm  Mike Geary – Ballyporeen Community Council will advise on accessing community finance.  At 7.15pm Michael Long – Tipperary Environmental Centre for Learning  – the new name for Cabragh Wetlands will outline the future work of the centre.

The plenary will then  consider administrative issues including the Minutes from previous meeting, an update from the Company Directors, the Secretariat  and the report of Co-Ordinator Ms Ruth Smith.  Those attend will also be asked to ratify new PPN reps on Council Strategic Policy Committees newly established since the June Local elections. Attendees will also have an informal session to meet with  PPN reps from the 3 pillar of the organisations – Social Inclusion, Community and Voluntary and Environmental.

The meeting is expected to close at 8.30pm.
