Tipperary County Council has issued a Moderate Weather Advisory for Tipperary following an update from Met Eireann.
This weekend, Storm Bert will move close to Ireland, displacing the recent cold Arctic airmass.
Very strong winds and heavy rain will track northeastwards over the country on Friday night and Saturday morning.
Storm Bert will continue to dominate Irish weather through the weekend and into early next week and further weather warnings are expected from Met Eireann.
A Status Yellow wind and rain warning has been issued for Tipperary and all of Ireland from midnight until 10am tomorrow.
A Status Orange wind and rain warning has been issued for Cork, Kerry and Galway – also from midnight tonight until 10am tomorrow.
Met Éireann is warning of intense rainfall over a short period of time which could lead to surface and possible river flooding, as well as very difficult travel conditions.
A Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning is in effect until noon today for County Tipperary and all of Ireland.
