Four lump-sum supports totalling approximately  €415 million will be paid this week to help with the cost of living – the measures were part of Budget 2025 announced last month. 6 other payments will follow in the coming weeks.

667,000 families will receive a double Child Benefit payment tomorrow.

Over 400,000 households will  get a €300 Fuel Allowance lump sum payment and 213,000 people with disabilities will  receive a €400 Disability Support Payment  – these payments will be made on various dates this week and finally 46,000 Working Families are to get a  €400 lump sum payment on Thursday November 7th.

People will receive the lump sum payments in addition to and on the same day that they usually receive their primary payment.  All the lump sum and double payments are automatically paid – people do not need to apply for them.  In addition to the series of lump-sum payments, across-the-board payment increases will take effect from January 2025.
