Tipperary Town will see a new Post Office opening in the Supervalu store at Kickham Place today.
The office will provide retail post services such as stamps, banking, TV licenses, Social Protection Payment Collection (Pensions/Child Benefit/Job Seekers etc) and sales of Dog licenses. The new post office is to open at 11am today and will offer four counter windows and a spacious area for queuing. Temporary signage has been added to the exterior of the building and a post box for mail has been installed outside the building.

An Post are changing how retail post services are delivered in Ireland and the vast majority of the over 900 Post Offices in the country are now run by private post masters and mistresses in collaboration with An Post.
The manager of the former Post Office on Davis street is relocating to a Post Office closer to home in Limerick while the five staff that worked in the retail office chose to remain with An Post and will be allocated new duties in the Davis Street building which will continue to offer a post collection, return and distribution service – there will however be no stamps/postage on sale at the Davis Street Post Office from today.
