Tipperary county council has now published a video recording of the three Civic Receptions afforded to three All Ireland winning teams on Saturday September 28th at Bru Boru Cashel.
The Tipperary Minor and Premier Junior camogie teams alongside the Tipperary Minor hurling team were honoured for their success in 2024. A Civic Reception is the highest honour the Council can award to an individual or group for making a significant contribution to life in Tipperary. Each County Board is awarded a framed scroll of the Council resolution granting the Civic Reception and the team captains and managers were presented with an engraved sculpture to mark the occasion.
The Cathaoirleach of Tipperary County Council Declan Burgess welcomed the guests and honourees to his home town of Cashel for the event. The CEO of Tipperary County Council Sinead Carr praised the Camogie and Hurling County Boards for all the work they do for young people across the county.
The event featured live interviews with players, team mentors and officials from the various County Boards. Recordings of game footage and additional interviews are also included – Paul Collins from Ballywire Media was the host for the ceremony. The video recording(approximately 90 minutes) can be found on the council website at tippearycoco.ie at this link here.
