Ballyhoura Development together with Music Generation Limerick County and Friars Gate Theater are pleased to host free Music camps this autumn for children aged 8 – 10 years old. These free music camps will offer a musical and creative enviroment to children interested in music, regardless of their previous knowledge. Tipperary Town A.A Group are hosting a public open meeting on Friday 27th September in the Tipperary Community Services Centre. Entrance to the meeting will be from the Blind Street entrance at the back of the building.

Bewleys big coffee morning and raffle for Hospice will be held in the C.J. Kickham Band Hall, Davis Street, Tipperary Town, on Thursday 26th September from 10am – 1pm. Every euro raised locally stays locally in aid of South Tipperary Hospice Movement.

Mount Bruis Women’s Group will hold an afternoon tea dance in the G.A.A. Hall, Lattin on Sunday 6th October from 3pm to 5.30pm. Music by Donie Collins, Pakie Ryan and friends. All are welcome.

Opening ceremony Moore Abbey, Galbally on Saturday 28th September, commemorating Olympian Jim Fahy who broke world record in 1923, known as the Irish Kangaroo. Official opening ceremony at 11am – 1.30pm. John Kiely of the Limerick Hurling team will be the official opener of the ceremony. The Moore Abbey Loop walk will be temporarily renamed as the Jim Fahy Walk. There will be a 3km walk starting at the Abbey, children welcome with their trailers/bikes/tractors and more. The walk can be done in shoes and is wheelchair accessible. There will be a sports day on Sunday 29th of September, commemorating Jim Fahy’s achievements. There will also be a wreath laying ceremony on the Sunday morning also.

The Trip to Tipp Charity cycle on Sunday September 29th! Starting from the Ursuline Sports Complex in Thurles, this annual cycle in aid of Vision Ireland give you the option to cycle, walk or run.
