Garda from the Tipperary Roads Policing Unit patrolling in Roscrea have seized a car that was being used without insurance.
The attention of Gardaí was first drawn to the car as the driver and passenger were not wearing seatbelts.
Using the Garda Mobility App, a hand held device that allows instant access to vehicle, insurance and Driver licence data from the roadside, Gardaí established that there was no valid insurance.
The driver of the vehicle was found to be a Learner Permit Holder driving unaccompanied and had also failed to have L-Plates displayed on the vehicle. The driver will now face a future court date in respect of the offences.
