655

Tipperary County Council has posted details of homes available for expressions of interest this week from approved social housing applicants that are registered for the Choice Based Letting(CBL) system. Under this system a dedicated website allows people approved for homes of the size available to express their interest in being allocated one of the homes. The system allows multiple persons to respond simultaneously and is found to have increased the speed of home allocation and to have reduced the rate of home refusals.

In total this week there are 34 properties for consideration – one 2 bed bungalow in Cloughjordan and a total of 33 homes in Cashel. The units in Cashel are a mix of three one bed ground floor apartments, two one bed top floor apartments, eleven 2 bed houses, fifteen 3 bed houses and two four bedroomed houses. The homes in Cashel are part of the development at Bregawn close to Cormac’s Cemetery and the M8.

The Council has posted general details on the council website – persons registered for the CBL system can access the portal to express interest via their unique personal identification number. The Council is reminding applicants to fully complete the checkout process online to ensure their application is recorded and considered.  A successful applicant who refuses a Choice Based Letting offer will not be eligible for consideration for another Choice Based Letting Unit for a period of one year and due to the volume of responses the council will only contact the successful candidates.
