Tipperary County Council Local Authority Integration Team Staff To Visit Dundrum House Hotel

As members of the local community continue to protest at the gates of Dundrum house hotel, staff from Tipperary county Council Local Authority Integration Team(LAIT) are to visit the residents today.

It is understood that 78 asylum seekers and 130 Ukrainian refugees are now accommodated at the facility – which has a maximum capacity of 277 persons. Last week all staff were sent home as they had not been Garda vetting to work at an IPAS centre and the Department of Integration says the entire complex including the golf course is now part of an IPAS centre.

Staff completed vetting forms on Thursday and Friday and it understood that An Garda Siochana have now processed 15 applications as of Saturday and once approved by the Department these staff can return to work at the complex. A skeleton crew of staff from an IPAS centre in Roscrea have been working in Dundrum since Thursday to support the residents at the complex.
