Deputy Michael Lowry has requested ‘prompt response and action’ in relation to the persistent Water Supply challenges being faced by the residents and businesses in Holycross, Thurles, Ballycahill, Bouladuff, Dovea, Borrisoleigh,  Drom and the surrounding areas.

In a strongly worded letter to Niall Gleeson, the CEO of Uisce Eireann, Deputy Lowry says that these communities have been grappling with a series of distressing and unacceptable water-related difficulties, affecting a large number of households and individuals, while also causing major problems for local businesses.

‘It is particularly concerning that the area has been under a Boil Water Notice for approximately 32 days” according to the Thurles based TD.

The Independent TD says urgent attention is needed to rectify the ongoing water supply issues and to ensure that a safe and reliable water supply is restored as swiftly as possible.

Deputy Lowry is seeking a “timely and meaningful response and says  the lack of a reliable water supply has broader implication for the economic stability” of the area.
