Repairs To Thomastown Water Treatment Plant Leads To Supply Disruption

231

Uisce Eireann is appealing to the public to conserve water as much as possible. At present several areas in county Tipperary are on night-time restrictions and the situation may deteriorate due to the long range forecast for low rainfall.

Repair crews are working at the Thomastown Water Treatment plant this afternoon and hope to have work completed by 6pm.  This is causing supply disruptions to Thomastown, Kilfeacle Village, Moanteen, Castlepark, Persses Lot, Dark Road, Thomastown Cross, Moatquarter, Rathclogheen, Golden Village, Ballinard and surrounding areas. Uisce Eireann advises customers to allow 2-3 hours after the estimated restoration time for supply to fully return.

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact Uisce Eireann on Twitter @IWCare with any queries. Updates can also be found on the Water Supply Updates section of the water.ie website.
