Cashel is to host approximately 1,000 participants in the RED BULL CONQUER THE CASTLE event tomorrow.
The event is aimed at those interested in a physical challenge as they undertake a 2.5KM Sprint Race over a course with 20 obstacles.
Competitions are held in the male and female categories as the participants compete in waves starting tomorrow morning at 10am with each participant having their effort timed to establish the top three in each category with cash prizes to be awarded.
The final group is scheduled to start at 3pm. The public can also visit the venue with access from the old Dublin Road, the R639, on the north side of Cashel.
In 2022 the event was staged in Cashel for the first time and it proved to be highly beneficial to the local hospitality sector in addition to helping to raise the profile of the town as a location with outdoor recreation options.
