Development plans for the public amenity known as the Tipperary Hills located in Tipperary town will be considered at Monday’s Meeting of the Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District.

The Chief Executives Report on the Part 8 Planning Application for measures to enhance the public park is to be considered by the Councillors who recently held a workshop with project planners in respect of the 18 public submissions received.

In addition the eleven councillors will consider reports on  Planning, Library services, updates from the District Administrator and Engineer and approve funding allocations in respect of the  Streetscape and Building Façade Enhancement Scheme for 2023.

There are 4 motions submitted by the Councillors. Cllr Roger Kennedy is requesting the installation of  30km speed limit signs on Cathal Brugha and McCann Streets in Cashel in the interests of public safety.

The remaining three motions are in the name of Cllr Michael Fitzgerald.

The Councillor is requesting that Tipperary Council pipe and cover an open drain at Ballyhurst to support the local family who presently maintain the area. Cllr Fitzgerald says this work should have been included in the recent road realignment completed at Ballyhurst.  The other two motions by Cllr Fitzgerald related to issues in Cashel – firstly a request that the Council place plastic bollards on each side of the entrance to Larkspur Park, Cashel in order to create more vision for motorists exiting the club grounds and that the Council will investigate and take action to alleviate flooding problems at O’Dwyers on the Green in Cashel. The meeting on Monday will begin at 11am.
