Groups across county Tipperary are invited to nominate themselves for a bursary from ALDI Ireland as it launches it’s €80,000 Community Grants programme for  2023.  The programme is open to charities and community groups across every county in Ireland.

This year, ALDI will distribute more than 165 bursary grants through the programme, contributing to a national total of over €80,000 worth of funding for Irish causes that contribute vital work and services to their local communities.  Charities wishing to put themselves forward for the bursary donation can apply at any of ALDI’s 155 stores during the months of March and April. From these nominations, staff from each of ALDI’s stores will select a charity or community organisation in its local area to receive the bursary,

Last year, local charities and community groups including Clonmel Scout Group, Suir Haven Cancer Support and PAWS Animal Rescue were chosen by ALDI store teams in Tipperary to receive funding from ALDI’s Community Grants programme.

Since 2016 ALDI has distributed over €535,00 via the Community Grant Scheme and will be donating a further €80,000 through this year’s bursary grants. ALDI operates 8 stores in county Tipperary and is also supportive of the Food Cloud Programme where some unsold food items are donated to local charities to support the charity and to avoid food waste.
