Munster Scooter Club reports that €9,380 was raised in the raffle held for the scooter provided by the late Maurice Smith, Tipperary Town.
Mr Smith died in October and it was his parting wish that the scooter, restored with the help of many friends, would be raffled in aid of Milford Hospice, the UHL Urology unit and the Circle of Friends Cancer Support Centre Tipperary Town.
Bridget Maguire emerged as the winner of the scooter while Pat Noonan, Derek Byrne and Mark Patterson won the spot prizes.
The Munster Scooter Club and the Smith family have thanked everyone for their fantastic work to support Maurice’s wish.
