Irish Water says it will be able to make a final connection offer to a developer trading as Majestic Property Developers this week.
The connection is in respect of a housing project on the Dundrum Road in Tipperary Town.
The developer had complained of delays in securing the connection and the final costs for an application in respect of the first 14 houses in a 96 house development.
Irish Water says it is committed to playing its part in the national drive to provide homes to people who need them by developing and prioritising the delivery of key water service infrastructure.
Irish Water says it has now issued offers associated with 27,534 housing units to the end of October this year with a usual turnaround time of 16 weeks.
Irish Water says delays in the Tipperary town project were due to delays in response times from the developer and the fact that the developer wanted to utilise a newly introduced scheme by Irish Water that supports developers to utilise accredited contractors for elements of connection works.
